African Bureau of Music (ABM) is a creative hub shaping the future of African sound.

Get to know us

African Bureau of Music (ABM) is a pan-African creative and business platform built to support musicians, producers, songwriters, and music entrepreneurs across the full music value chain. We exist to nurture talent, foster collaboration, and celebrate Africa’s diverse musical heritage—while building sustainable careers and globally competitive music businesses.

ABM is not just a studio.

ABM connects creatives with world-class infrastructure, industry knowledge, commercial opportunities, and international networks. From early-stage development to global distribution, we empower African music creators to thrive locally and internationally. ABM is not just a studio or academy—it is a movement shaping the future of African sound.

VISION:

Redefining sound using African instruments, culture and creative technology.

MISSION:

To shape the future of African sound and creativity by merging culture, technology, and storytelling.

What We Do

ABM operates across five core pillars of value creation:

ABM Academy

We train the next generation of African creatives—artists, producers, sound engineers, and music entrepreneurs—through structured learning, mentorship, and hands-on experience.

ABM Studios

Our fully equipped studios (including a live studio) provide a professional environment for recording, rehearsals, live sessions, and content production.

Creative Incubator

We help artists and creatives turn talent into careers—offering development programs, branding, marketing strategy, and business guidance.

SoundLab & Innovation

This is where tradition meets the future.

We experiment with African instruments, sound design, music technology, and digital tools, including the digitalization of African instruments for modern production.

Artist Development & Partnerships

We build artist brands, execute marketing campaigns, manage releases, and connect creatives to brands, platforms, and global opportunities.

Our Philosophy

We believe:

  • African sound is limitless
  • Creativity should be sustainable
  • Culture should evolve without losing its roots

At ABM, we don’t chase trends—we build movements.

Why ABM Matters

ABMCAMP-Elle (1)

Africa is rich in sound, rhythm, and stories—but many creatives lack access to structure, tools, and opportunity.

ABM exists to:

  • Close that gap
  • Create ownership
  • Build global-ready African creatives

The ABM Community

ABM is powered by a growing community of:

  • Artists
  • Producers
  • Bands
  • Sound innovators
  • Cultural builders

Together, we are redefining what African music and creativity can become.

Founders’ notes

A Note from Kuseim

ABM was born from a simple but powerful belief:

African sound deserves world-class systems, not just talent.

For years, African creativity has shaped global culture, yet the structures to support, protect, and scale that creativity have been limited. I founded African Bureau of Music to change that—to build an ecosystem where African artists, producers, and sound innovators can learn, create, own, and compete globally.

My vision for ABM is to become the engine behind Africa’s next sound revolution—a place where tradition meets technology, where African instruments evolve into modern tools, and where creatives are empowered with knowledge, infrastructure, and opportunity.

ABM is about more than music.

It’s about legacy, identity, and future ownership.

We are building:

  • Spaces where creativity feels limitless
  • Systems that turn talent into sustainable careers
  • Innovations that carry African sound into the future

This is our contribution to Africa’s cultural story—

not by copying the world, but by leading it with our own sound.
